Gen Muhoozi Appoints Brigadier Jackson Pande Kajuba New Armoured Division Commander

The CDF, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has appointed Brigadier General Jackson Pande Kajuba as the new Commander of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) Armoured Division based in Masaka.

Brigadier General Kajuba takes over from Major General Deus Sande, who passed away yesterday after reportedly suffering severe breathing complications.

Prior to his appointment, Brigadier General Kajuba had been serving as the Deputy Commander of the Armoured Division, working closely under the late Major General Sande.

In the same changes, Colonel Wilson Bagonza Rwakanara, formerly attached to the Special Forces Command (SFC), has been promoted to the rank of Brigadier General and appointed as the new Deputy Commander of the UPDF Armoured Division.

According to an official statement issued by Colonel Chris Magezi, the Acting Director of Defence Public Information at the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs (MODVA), the appointments take immediate effect.

The UPDF leadership has congratulated the newly appointed officers and wished them success as they assume their new responsibilities in strengthening the operations of the Armoured Division.
